Aurélie is a food photographer influenced by her travels around the world. She works for producers, brands and restaurants who entrust her with presenting their products in their best light. She takes photos and creates recipes to showcase the brands she works with. She loves working with teams on projects of all sizes.
In another life, she studied biology and paleontology at Pierre-et-Marie-Curie University and at the National Museum of Natural History of Paris. Before settling in Scotland, Aurélie lived for several years in Quebec, where she trained in photography at Dawson College in Montreal.
Since arriving in Scotland, Aurélie has immersed herself in the local culinary culture to bring out the best. Passionate about simple and fresh products, she worked on them in all their forms while leafing through recipe books a few centuries ago.
In 2021, she realised her dream of writing and photographing a cookbook. “Écosse” will be out at the beginning of 2022, it was done in 4 hands with Sarah Lachhab and is published by Éditions de La Martinière. She publishes Scottish recipes every month on her newsletter “Un dîner en Écosse” which she writes in collaboration with Sarah.
Apart from cooking and taking pictures, Aurélie devours all the books she has on hand and spends her long winter evenings knitting. Her cat Darwin is never really far away, and was featured in some of her photos.
